Travel Experience

We left Tallinn fairly quickly and were in forest almost immediately, which felt different from what we expected because the city doesn’t really fade out gradually, it just kind of stops and then it’s trees.

At one stop near the coast there were a few cars already parked and people walking down a short path to the water. We followed for a bit, but didn’t stay long because the wind off the Baltic felt colder than it looked.

There were stretches where the road kept switching between dense forest and small open clearings. We didn’t really talk much, just slowed down sometimes when we saw wooden houses or signs pointing to trails.

We stopped for coffee in a small roadside café that felt more local than touristy. Nothing special happened there, just sitting for a bit and warming up before continuing.

By the end of the Lahemaa National Park Drive, it felt like a short sequence of forests, coastline, and quiet villages stitched together by an easy road. Nothing stood out as a single highlight, but the calmness of everything kind of stayed with us in a low-key way.
