Travel Experience

We started out a bit slow because the first section was more traffic than scenery, just getting out of the busier area and onto the coastal road properly.

At one point we stopped near a small bay where there were already a few cars parked. People were swimming even though it didn’t feel like we had planned to stop for that long, but we ended up staying anyway just sitting on the edge and watching.

There was a long stretch where the road kept hugging the coast and then cutting slightly inland through dry hills. We didn’t really talk much, just occasionally pointing out islands that looked closer than they actually were.

We stopped in a historic town for food and got a bit distracted walking through narrow streets before remembering we still had more driving to do that day. Service was slow, but it kind of fit the pace of the place.

By the end of the Dalmatian Coast Drive, it felt like everything was a mix of short swims, quick stops in towns, and long sections of driving where the sea was always somewhere in the background even when you couldn’t see it directly.
