Travel Experience
We started a bit later than planned and already the sun felt pretty strong even just loading the car. The first part was easy driving, but we kept getting distracted by the sea appearing between gaps in buildings.
At one point we pulled over because there were already a couple of cars parked along a bend. It wasnโt really a proper viewpoint, just one of those places everyone agrees to stop anyway. We stayed a few minutes, then got back in because the road behind us felt too narrow to linger.
There was a long stretch where the road kept hugging the coastline and we didnโt really talk much. Just windows open, music low, and occasional comments when the color of the water changed again.
We stopped for food in a small coastal town and ended up sitting there longer than intended. Service was slow, but nobody minded much since it gave us time to cool down before getting back into the car.
By the end of the Sardinia Coastal Drive, it felt less like separate points of interest and more like one continuous line of coast we kept dipping in and out of. The scenery was always there, but we mostly experienced it in short glances between bends rather than long stops.
