Travel Experience

We started in a smaller town and it didn’t feel special at first, just normal roads and buildings until the historic centers started appearing more often.

At one castle stop there were already a lot of cars and tour buses. We didn’t stay long because it felt more like a checkpoint than a quiet place to explore.

There were stretches where the road went through open countryside and then suddenly into very well-preserved old towns. We didn’t really talk much, just kept stopping briefly when something looked interesting from the road.

We stopped for food in one of the medieval towns and ended up walking around a bit longer than planned because everything felt close together and easy to explore on foot.

By the end of the Romantic Road, it felt like a chain of historic towns connected by calm countryside driving, where each stop looked impressive on its own but the real experience was how smoothly they followed one after another.
